THE CHRISTIANS

BY LUCAS HNATH

“I have a powerful urge to communicate with you, but I find the distance between us insurmountable”

The Christians by Lucas Hnath explores the unflinching truths of individuality and community.

Set in an evangelical sermon, Pastor Paul delivers a sermon twenty years in the making, causing a schism as the congregation is faced with defining the borders of their faith. Each member makes a compelling case before God and their fellow congregation.

The play investigates what it means to have faith and asks the audience to draw their own conclusion, regardless of their stances.
